Jews keep time in a unique way. For us time is linear from our ideal past through the present and on to a messianic world, which is how we would like to see the future. We are not there yet, but the way we live our day, our week, our month and our year says a lot about who we are and how we see ourselves and our lives. We Jews organized Jewish life according to the way that we understood time and its meaning. That led us to fashion a specific kind of a Jewish day, a Jewish week, a Jewish month, a Jewish year and a Jewish lifetime. We start the day in the evening, there are certain things we only do on specific times, our celebrations are connected to different points in time. So come and explore all this with us. It’s time!
